Tatra from Czech Republic wants to buy Krusevac-based IMK 14. oktobar
According to General Manager Milos Isailovic, prospective buyers visited production facilities and were introduced to the product portfolio and investment opportunities, as well as to the material, technical and human resources of the factory. Czech company Tatra operates in a similar production milieu (armament, army vehicles, machinery, etc.).
By the way, IMK 14. oktobar currently has a debt of RSD 15 billion, whereas the estimated value of its assets is RSD 8 billion.
Krusevac Mayor Dragi Nestorovic said he was expecting help and support from the state, that is, the Serbian government, in the forthcoming privatization process. A coordination team will be formed to analyze optimal models and opportunities in order to relieve the company from all debts before the sales process starts.
Tatra will soon send a technical and financial team to perform a specialized analysis.
The most likely solution will be to sell IMK 14. oktobar in the same way as FAP, and Krusevac is also able to provide adequate expert staff.
