Japan donates 150 cars to the Government of Serbia

Japanese ambassador, Masafumi Kuroki delivered a donation of 150 environmental cars to the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

Vucic thanked to the embassy of Japan for this and all previous donations and support which Japan was setting aside for Serbia after accidents, Beta agency reports.

He said that due to this donation, functions will have to "renounce" 500 cars more, which will go on public sale.

Kuroki said that the objective of donation is to boost in Serbia awareness of environmental protection and to promote cars which are in line with environmental standards.

Vucic said Serbia should look upon Japan since only purchase of domestic products boost domestic production.


When asked whether they discussed potential investments in industry for automotive parts, Vucic said Serbia is negotiating with two Japanese companies on investing in automotive components industry.

Vucic reminded that so far, the Government of Serbia decided to sell 1.537 cars and that as of April 9 they will be available at prices 40% lower.
