Owners of mobile telephones will not be able any more to talk in the middle of the show in the Belgrade National Theater, while the students at some faculties will have to find better way to cheat on the exams. The reason for that is GSM jammer, the device of the state-of-the-arts technology used for prevention of use of cell phones within certain space.

The theaters were the first to start to use this device. They were followed by the schools, faculties and various other institutions that do not approve of telephone ringing inside the building. Thus, this device is used by Faculty of Economy, Faculty of Organization Sciences, Pharmaceutical Faculty, as well as all private faculties, and they can be found in the hospitals, on the chess meets, in the libraries, conference halls...

Company "Mand trade", which deals with sale and servicing of these devices since May 2003, came to idea of production of jammers when they read in the newspaper that the phones ring during the theater shows. The price of the GSM jammer ranges from €300 to €500.

GSM jammers are very simple to use, they are turned on and off by simple button pressing, so that the user, in accordance with his or her needs, can decide when to use it. The cellular phone users who are outside jammed space do not have any problems with the network signal.

The device can be used for the networks that work on the frequencies of 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz (061, 062, 063, 064, 065, 067 and 069 networks in SCG). They work on the principle of interruption of connection between the telephone and the base. Installation is very simple: it is placed on the wall, at the height of about 1.70 m and connected via transformer to the electric power source.

GSM jammer is designed as air refresher, so that it fits perfectly in any environment. It also serves as the protection from disturbances caused by mobile telephones (when near sensitive medical machines and in music studios). Special emphasis was put on the fact that they are not dangerous to health.
