Second Phase of Construction of Vrbas Retail Park to Start – Additional 4,000 m2 for New Tenants
The investor will also expand the parking lot by an additional 100 parking spaces for the visitors and build an even bigger playground for children.
As in the first phase, which was fully leased and where outlets were opened by dm, Jysk, Maxi, Planeta Sport, Pepco and Sinsay, the tenants will be foreign brands which will open their stores in Vrbas for the first time. A large café restaurant with a playground for children is to open as well.
Vrbas, toward which the surrounding places gravitate too, such as Kula, Crvenka, Srbobran, Kucura, Savino Selo, Backo Dobro Polje, Backa Topola, Becej and many others, encompasses a population of around 100,000 people. The city is especially developed in terms of industry, and Medela, Vital, Carnex and Vitamix have factories in it.
With this investment, Vrbas is clearly positioning itself as the capital city and center of the South Backa Region, and the Vrbas Retail Park as the center of shopping, entertainment and cultural events.
The advantage of Vrbas is its position, right next to the highway to Budapest, the fact that it’s a rail hub and a Budapest fast train station, as well as a regional traffic hub, because it connects Sombor and Kikinda with the new fast traffic route.
With the new 4,000 m2, the total area will amount to slightly under 10,000 m2, which will not be the final area of the retail park, because the investor is already planning a third phase.
The opening of the second phase of the Vrbas Retail Park is expected in the final quarter of 2024.
