Nelt, one of the regional leaders in the field of distribution, logistics and trade marketing, has established cooperation with the global leader specialized in food logistics, the German company Dachser. This has enabled weekly deliveries of piece-packages of food products from Europe to Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina through Nelt logistics and distribution channels.

As announced by the company, Nelt has become a member of the European Food Network, headed by Dachser, this year. The network covers 34 countries of the EU and has around 1.74 million square meters of food storage space and around 10,500 freezer-trucks.

– Nelt’s joining The European Food Network is a very important step for us as a company and is in the spirit of our strategy of constant growth and development. Continued and direct transport of food products in line with the highest standards will influence the development and the quality of the Western Balkans market. The benefits enjoyed by our clients include shipment safety, cost-effectiveness and simplicity of communication in tracking shipments, and a service of export to the EU market is planned for the next phase – Ivan Milicevic, Nelt LSP Operations and Development Manager, said on this occasion.

Heidi Matthaus, European Network Development Manager at Dachser, said that Nelt contributed to meeting the network’s unique standards regarding the processes and information systems securing reliability and continuity with its innovative approach to business and a stable and continued growth.

– The expertise and a strong presence of our partners in the local market is of crucial importance for the sustainability of the network, and Nelt meets all the conditions and we see it as a key figure for the Balkans region – Matthaus stated.
