Belgrade to host Forum of Mayors of Capitals of Central and Eastern Europe and China in 2018

Mayor of Belgrade Sinisa Mali attended the second Forum of Mayors of Capitals of Central and Eastern Europe and China on Friday, September 15, 2017, in Podgorica, where it was officially confirmed that the City of Belgrade would host the event the next year, Beoinfo reports.

Mali pointed out that it was a great honor for the City of Belgrade and that he was sure that the capital of Serbia would be a great host.

The 16+1 Forum is the initiative of the Government of the People's Republic of China, which aims to stimulate cooperation between China and sixteen CEE countries. It was started in 2012 and it aims to develop economic, political and cultural cooperation though an exchange of information at summits, conferences, business forums and other events dedicated to tourism, education, agriculture, energy and development of infrastructure, Beoinfo reports.
