First Beijing-Belgrade plane lands

The first plane on the newly established airline route between Beijing and Belgrade landed at the Belgrade Airport at 9:14 a.m.

The welcoming ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, Ambassador of China to Serbia Li Manchang and representatives of Hainan Airlines, which is conducting the flights on this route.

The first flight from Beijing also brought over 20 Chinese businessmen and representative of business associations to Belgrade.

The return flight from Belgrade to Beijing of the Airbus plane, which has 260 seats in the economy class and 32 seats in the business class, will be take place later during the day.


The plan is for the Belgrade-Beijing flight to be conducted through Prague for now, two times a week, Mondays and Fridays. A direct airline on the route has been announced for next year.

The previous flight on the Belgrade-Beijing route was conducted by Jat in 2000.
