cargo-partner to open logistics center in Sofia in early 2018
In line with cargo-partner's corporate plan, which entails a global expansion of storage capacities, the focus is currently on building the new logistics center in Sofia. This center will take up more than 16,500 m2, have over 22,000 pallet spaces, as well as offices across 2,000 square meters. The new facility will be built next to the existing one, which takes up 10,000 m2 and which has operated since 2015.
The location close to the Sofia airport provides direct links with the subway and railway lines, as well as easy access to the highway.
The storage will be especially suitable for storing oversize cargo and spare parts, as well as valuable and customs goods. The temperature will range between +5 and +25°C.
– After the beginning of the construction of the modern information-logistics center in Vienna, the new storage in Sofia is another important step in the expansion of our logistics capacities throughout Europe – said Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner.
Anton Stoykov, the director of the company in Bulgaria, pointed out that cargo-partner used the latest technological trends in logistics and top-quality equipment providing clients with not just storage but a full logistics solution adapted to their demands.
The current investments made by cargo-partner encompass the recent expansion of the storage in the Slovakian town of Dunajska Streda to a total of 20,000 pallet spaces, as well as the planned opening of a logistics center with over 6,000 pallet spaces in Hamburg, Germany, in October 2017. Furthermore, the plan is to also build a new storage with 20,000 pallet spaces in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2018.
