Bosch plans new investments in Serbia
The company has placed eighth among the top 15 exporters, and the wiper system plant in the Municipality of Pecinci has been constantly growing since it opened five years ago.
– In the upcoming years, we expect to continue developing in Serbia. In line with this, we have considerably increased the investments in production capacities in the activities in the field of ICT, as well as in increasing the number of employees. The expansion of the dual education program will be one of next year's priorities – stated Jovanka Jovanovic, General Manager of Bosch Serbia.
New investments were also announced, namely, in the expansion of the Center for Research and Development, the construction of a new cafeteria and new business premises.
Bosch had an income of RSD 20.7 billion (EUR 168.2 million) in Serbia in 2016, including internal deliveries to related companies. That year, sales to third persons in Serbia amounted to RSD 4.7 billion (EUR 38.4 million). The company employs over 1,000 associates in Serbia, the number which has grown three times in under three years and is expected to grow even further.
The Pecinci factory delivers 70 various types of wiper systems for 16 clients.
Bosch focuses on the development of the Mobility and Internet of Things sectors and they therefore need, as they say, young IT professionals primarily. In 2015, the company opened two new IT departments in Serbia, which provide support to divisions Mobility Solutions (Automotive) and Electrical Hand Tools, while constantly expanding the range of their products.
