The revenues of Belgrade`s Delta Holding in the first six months of 2017 amounted to RSD 30 billion, which is 13% more than in the corresponding period of 2016, stated Senior Vice President of the company, Dejan Jeremic, today. He said that the profit of Delta Holding before taxation grew by 45% to RSD 2.7 billion.

Delta paid RSD 6 billion to the budget of Serbia in taxes, which is 14% more than in the corresponding period of 2016.

As said today, Delta Holding is preparing the construction of the Intercontinental hotel in Belgrade, and the construction of the shopping center in Autokomanda will begin when, as they say, they obtain all the necessary permits. The deadline for the beginning of the construction of the Delta Planet shopping center, worth around EUR 200 million, was not disclosed this time either.

The fact that the hotel business is a good business in Serbia is shown by the fact that Crowne Plaza has EUR 6.18 million of revenues and over 52 thousand overnight stays in six months.

Delta Holding, as stated, also finished the construction of the Intercontinental hotel in Ljubljana, which will start operating in August, and the value of the investment in the first hotel in the capital of Slovenia, which will have five stars, amounts to EUR 50 million.

Jeremic reminded that the construction of Delta Planet in Banjaluka, worth EUR 70 million, had started in 2017 and that it would open in 2018. During the construction, 500 people will be working on this project, whereas, following the completion, 2,500 workers will get a job in Delta Planet Banjaluka.

The new shopping center will bring famous global brands to Banjaluka and will feature, in addition to the stores, a 1,500-m2 cinema with 5 movie theaters featuring the latest technology. The shopping center will have 1,000 parking spaces, a supermarket and a restaurant section.

Delta has ambitious plans for other countries as well.

– By the end of the year, we will start two new projects in the EU countries as well – Jeremic said, but couldn't present more details of the new investments.

Delta Agrar share larger than 50%

As Jeremic explained, Delta Agrar has a share of over 50% in the total revenues of Delta Holding with revenues of over RSD 16 billion.

– We invested EUR 10 million in the expansion of Delta Agrar and began sheep breeding, and the plan is to breed 10,000 lambs in two years – Jeremic said.

He stated that Delta Agrar achieved a new record in export in May – over EUR 13 million, whereas the exports YTD amounted to EUR 45 million. Most of the exported goods are sent to the EU (80%) and Russia (around 18%).

Delta transport Systems had revenues larger by 27% in the first six months of 2017 than in 2016, and the company also got 150 new clients.
