Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Didier Reynders agreed on June 27, 2017, that the bilateral relations were good and that there was room for improvement, especially regarding the economic cooperation and increasing the trade.

Dacic pointed out that the last year's trade reached the record level of EUR 560 million, a growth of 20% compared to 2015.

Reynders expressed his wish for the cooperation between the two countries to further strengthen and added that the investment of Delhaize had been an efficient investment in Serbia. These are only examples, and there are many more smaller, but very dynamic joint investments, which overall contribute to the gradual modernization of the Serbian economy – Reynders added.

When asked what Serbia could offer to consumers in Belgium, Reynders said that “Serbian gold” - the raspberry was very popular in Belgium and that the Serbian-Belgian company Krops & Partners processed the fruit and exported it to Belgium.
