Pirot Free Zone to buy AHA Mura Prvi Maj? – RSD 127 million offered, decision on sale to be reached in upcoming days

The Pirot Free Zone is interested in purchasing AHA Mura Prvi Maj in bankruptcy, as confirmed for our portal at the Pirot Free Zone.

As said on May 31 by the president of the Council of the Association of Autonomous Trade Unions of Pirot, Rodoljub Ciric, the Pirot Free Zone has offered the amount of RSD 127 million. He explained for Beta that the property of AHA Mura Prvi Maj had been evaluated at RSD 631 million, and that the Free Zone was the only one to pay the deposit at the fifth advertised sale of the company, which is being conducted through the collection of written bids.

– Considering that the offered price is 50% lower than the estimated value of the factory, the bankruptcy supervisor will, in the upcoming days, call a meeting of the Board of Creditors, which will make the final decision on the potential sale – Ciric said.

Dragan Kostic, the director of the Pirot Free Zone says for our portal that the decision would be made in the next week.

– The sales process is in progress, and I expect that the decision will be made in the next five days. If the decision is positive, it will prove good for everyone – Kostic said and noted that the plans regarding the purchase of this factory would be presented after the decision had been made.

Let us remind that AHA Mura Prvi Maj was put up for sale through public bidding the previous four times and that the bankruptcy proceedings in the company were initiated on June 25, 2015.
