AHA Mura Prvi Maj auctioned again – First sale through written bid collection
This is the fifth attempt to sell the textile factory and the first one to be carried out through written bid collection. The bids will be opened on May 31, at 12 o’clock.
The estimated value of AHA Mura Prvi Maj is RSD 631 million, and potential purchasers should pay the deposit of RSD 126.2 million by May 29, the invitation states.
The most important pieces of property include the old and the new head office buildings, the textile industry buildings – halls, warehouses, a model workshop and air handling units, as well as a conference hall, a children’s playground, a restaurant, a library, a compressor station and substations. The movable property on sale includes textile industry equipment and stocks of raw materials, finished products, unfinished products and claims.
The previous sale was organized in mid-February at the starting price of RSD 252.4 million.
Former textile giant Prvi Maj Pirot went into bankruptcy in 2015 and was offered for sale through public bidding the previous four times. prvi Maj used to have close to 7,000 employees and around 150 stores throughout former Yugoslavia. They produced clothing for the national sports teams, and their products were also available in Italy, Germany and Russia.
