Italian 4Cam S.R.L. buys land in Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone – Around 120 employees to be producing plastic components in Subotica

An Italian company producing plastic components should soon find itself in the company of big companies which have operated in the Mali Bajmok Industrial Zone for years. The company got 1.8 hectares of land at an auction through its Novi Sad branch 4Cam S.R.L.

– The auction for the disposal of building land in Mali Bajmok was held on February 7, where a bid from the Novi Sad branch of 4Cam S.R.L. meeting the requirements was sent, and the price agreed is the starting market price, that is, the estimated market price of RSD 23,347,869 – says Verica Misevic, the secretary for the Secretariat for Property Relations of Subotica.

The new investor will be able to connect to the sewer system, the gas, water and electricity supply networks and to the IT network.

Its “next door” neighbors will be Siemens, Dunkermotoren, Ametek, Norma Group, Continental Contitech, Grodon Calzedonia and Swarovski, whose facilities currently employ as many as 5,800 people.

The arrival of the new investor will lead to new jobs as well.

– As agreed, the new company will employ around 120 people – Mayor Bogdan Laban announced in late 2016 and added that an additional 500 workers would be employed in the zone in 2017 due to the planned expansion of the capacities of Continental and Ametek.
