Storage and distribution in a temperature-controlled environment – RALU Logistics buys a warehouse in Ugrinovci
The company plans to employ an additional 150 workers. RALU Serbia has bough a temperature-controlled warehouse of 8,000 m2 of surface and the accompanying land plot of 75,000 m2 which enables further expansion of capacities.
Considering the recently built logistics center in Zagreb, the company is now able to provide high quality full logistics support in several countries of the region for merchandise which requires temperature-controlled environments, says RALU's statement.
The company RALU has begun working on the additional development of the facilities in accordance with the highest European standards, and these will be finalized in the next few months. The storage and all the operations with chilled and frozen merchandise at temperatures from 25 degrees Celsius below zero to temperatures above zero will be carried out in accordance with the highest standards of the manipulation of food and other sensitive goods.
- In addition to the required conditions, RALU Serbia will offer proactive user-tailored logistics solutions, and the full service includes transport, storage, and delivery to the end users, with the option of monitoring the delivery and optimization of routes and expenses. In addition to the implementation of the highest standards like ISO 9001, HACCP, and IFS, the Warehouse Management System will also be implemented. Through all this, we are trying to achieve the goal of securing our position as the leading independent supplier of integrated cold-chain logistics service in the region – pointed out Vladimir Milosavljevic, manager of RALU Serbia.
As it has been stated, as one of the seven members of the Pharama Logistics Alliance Network Europe, RALU Serbia provides the full logistics support to the pharmaceutical industry in Southeast Europe in accordance with the latest GDP Pharma standards.
- In addition to that, the announced reconstruction will enable the development of the LTL segment in the cold chain, in both the import and the export from Serbia and the region, meant for smaller buyers who wish to place their merchandise in the EU and Russian markets, who haven't had that opportunity so far or who used to solve the issue by making very large expenses – the statement says.
