The company MK Fintel Wind has started construction of the wind farm La Piccolina in Vršac. The investment is worth €10m and the power of the wind turbines will be 6.6MW, reports eVršac.

Their first wind farm in Serbia near Kula has started production, so the joint company of the businessman Miodrag Kostić and Italian investors from the company Fintel Energia SpA has launched the construction of another wind turbine facility. This is the energy plant Pikolina near Vršac, where work has already begun.

The MK group says that about 50 workers are currently engaged on the job.

Preparations are also being made to build yet another wind farm near Vršac. This is the Košava project with a total power of 117MW, with a first phase investment of around €50m.

When the wind farm Košava is completed, Serbia will be producing some 133MW of electricity just from Kostić's companies, almost a third of the figure we have promised the energy community. Our country has imposed a legal limit of 500MW for electricity from wind farms.
