Million francs for the most successful municipalities in Serbia
Boljevac is the most successful municipality when it comes to property tax collection. Negotin and Sokobanja follow and Veliko Gradiste and Zajecar have the same score and are at fourth and fifth position, GIZ announced.
Five local self-governance from east Serbia succeeded in collecting tax on property based on real on-site real estate condition while percentage of payment collection almost doubled.
German organization for international cooperation, GIZ and the Swiss agency for development and cooperation (SDC) awarded these municipalities with grants of a million francs which municipalities shared.
Municipalities will be able to use the funds received solely in developmental purposes.
